Save Lilo & Stitch Week 2012
Aloha everyone!
Save Lilo & Stitch Week 2012 marks one of our most important events to date here at Save Lilo & Stitch. Save Lilo & Stitch Week, held every year between June 21-27, is always our most important event of the year. Historically this has always been an important period in the timeline of the Lilo & Stitch franchise. June 21 is the anniversary of the original Lilo & Stitch Movie's debut in theatres. June 27 the final remaining episode (yes #65) of Lilo & Stitch the Series aired on Disney Channel. And June 27 marks the day Leroy and Stitch was released on DVD. So Save Lilo & Stitch Week celebrates the beginning, the "end" and all the good stuff in between! And don't forget about our other significant "unofficial" days within this time period:
- Unofficial "Angel" Day – June 24 (Exp. 624)
- Unofficial "Reuben" Day – June 25 (Exp. 625)
- Unofficial "Stitch" Day – June 26 (Exp. 626)
So what makes this year even more important? This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of our ohana! That's right, 10 years ago Lilo & Stitch the Movie debuted in theatres!
Of course while it is business as usual, and we will continue to email, snail mail, phone and fax Disney, this is also a celebration. We are celebrating an important milestone for the Lilo & Stitch franchise. So we want everyone to have a little bit of fun too. Here is a run down of our special fun events that will be held during Save Lilo & Stitch Week 2012:
- Date: June 21, 2012
- Lilo & Stitch Movie Day: Celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Lilo & Stitch the Movie by watching the movie that started it all! Relive the moment 10 years ago maybe many of you felt when you fell in love with this ohana for the first time! Time, money, lack of response and copyrights worked against us for getting a big Save Lilo & Stitch sponsored movie re-premier. But our goal is to get as many people as possible to watch this movie on 6/21! The DVD should still be on sale online at places like Amazon and eBay. Also Amazon has there Amazon Instant Video feature. Highly recommended. You can rent the video and watch it online for only $ 1.99! The movie may be elsewhere online on YouTube or other file sharing sites. But we do NOT promote it. Be safe. Watch for scams and viruses. We do NOT recommend clicking on the links that take you outside of YouTube.

- Angel or Devil in Disguise: Are you an angel, or devil in disguise? Little of both? Well show us! Dress up in your best Angel (exp. 624 or the heavenly one) outfit, Stitch outfit, Elvis outfit, or anything related to Lilo & Stitch or even Hawaii! Take a pic of yourself and send it to contact@saveliloandstitch.org. No rules. Have fun. Just keep it clean. And be warned, we'll post your pic all over our site and Facebook.
If we get enough submissions maybe we'll have a contest. Please let us know your name, nickname, Shout Out id etc. The official day is June 24 in honor of experiment 624 "Angel". But we'll accept submissions throughout the entire Save Lilo & Stitch Week: June 21-27.

- Reuben Day: This is simple. Everyone must eat a Reuben for lunch or dinner this day. It's not my favorite either. But do it for experiment 625! If you absolutely can't stand it, then any sandwich will do.

- Stitch Spirit Day: Show your pride for your ohana during our unofficial Stitch Day (6/26)! Have a Lilo & Stitch shirt? Wear it! Know where your favorite Stitch plush doll is? Take it with you everywhere you go. You can even just wear blue for Stitch! Be creative! Create a sign, poster or whatever to show you haven't forgotten about your ohana. Post ideas/pics here, through the Ohana Shout Out, or email us at contact@saveliloandstitch.org. And we will feature you throughout the site and Facebook!

- Lilo & Stitch Coloring Contest: Are you the best colorer? Are you the best drawer? Then prove it! Throughout Save Lilo & Stitch Week 2012 we will be accepting submissions to contact@saveliloandstitch.orgof your best Lilo & Stitch related drawings. These submissions need to be either PDF or image files (.JPG/.PNG). We are accepting three different types of submissions:1) Personal Drawings: Start with a blank piece of paper. Get out the crayons, markers, and let your creativity do the rest! Find a way to scan and send it to us. We are not accepting submissions via snail mail.2) Online Templates: You still have to get out the crayons and markers. But those of you (like myself) who aren't very artistic, can download and print a template like from the following site:http://www.coloring-book.info/coloring/coloring_page.php?id=37And same thing, find a way to scan and send it to us.3) Digital Art: Ok, fine, for those of you that don't know how to use a crayon or marker
