Lady Gaga Addresses Weight Gain, Starts Body Revolution 2013

In case you hadn't heard, Lady Gaga has received a lot of negative criticism after admitting to putting on 25 pounds. Now, she's doing something about it!

She took to her website LittleMonsters.com to respond to the criticism and talked about her weight issues. She posted the above photo in a series of photos, the above with the caption, "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15."

With that, she launched a new movement she refers to as "A Body Revolution 2013″, in which she hopes to encourage her fans to accept their bodies.

In another shot, she said, "But today I join the BODY REVOLUTION." She also included two more photos, which she said were "To inspire bravery" and "BREED some m$ therf*cking COMPASSION."

She talked of the Born This Way Foundation, which began as an effort to stop the bullying. She said, "This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws', as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."

Afterward, an influx of fan messages and photos flooded the website. Her fans began to share their experiences with their body image issues.

To that, she said, "I have been startled and overwhelmed with pride and emotion the past few days. Gratitude mostly. You are proud to be born this way, and brave in your vulnerability with this community. Watching you all create a safe space online for people to be compassionate is the greatest gift you could ever give me."
