The provocative outfits are just for the stage, we haven't even had sex yet, reveals Kitty's boyfriend of six months
X Factor diva Kitty Brucknell's boyfriend has come out of the woodwork, with some unexpected revelations about the singer.
Banker Derek Gorman, 31, claims that he and Kitty haven't had sex yet, despite the fact that he has proposed, and they have been dating for six months.
However his portrait of a shy and retiring Kitty makes an odd contrast with the her wild antics last week, when she straddled a dancer at The Shadow Lounge club in Soho.
All for show? Kitty Brucknell wasn't too shy to get up close and personal with dancer Jackson Williams at The Village club in Soho this week
Her raunchy moves didn't quite match up with the impression her boyfriend Derek has given of his relationship with her.
'She didn’t even let me kiss her until our fifth date. We’ve been dating for six months. I’ve proposed but we still haven’t had sex,' Derek told friends, as reported in The People.
But wearing a black leotard and blue kimono-style top, her legs covered only with flesh-coloured tights, Kitty's clubbing ensemble certainly didn't give the impression that she was a wallflower off-stage.
Fiancée: Banker Derek Gorman, pictured leaving the Britney concert at the O2 with Kitty on Thursday, has said that the singer is far shyer in private
Having fueled herself on cocktails alongside fellow contestant Johnny Robinson, 45, she decided to take things to the next level and make her presence felt.
According to witnesses, the aspiring pop star gyrated around a pole, then took to grinding provocatively over her companion as he writhed beneath and licked her leg.
The man, whose name is Jackson Williams, is rumoured to be the ex-lover of Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding.
Nevertheless, Derek appears determined to defend Kitty's reputation.
Shy and reserved? Kitty fueled up on cocktails with fellow contestant Johnny Robinson before her wild dance routine at The Shadow Lounge
'Everybody thinks Kitty is weird, fame-hungry and a diva. But that’s just Kitty the entertainer putting on a great show,' he stressed.
'In reality she is none of those things. She is a sensitive, quiet girl who is very traditional at heart,'
Derek emphasised strongly that Kitty's on-stage persona is a world away from her true personality, adding: 'The drama and all the provocative outfits are all just for the stage,' explained Derek.
But guests at The Shadow Club seem to have garnered a different impression of Kitty from what they saw.
Mobbed: The singer was surrounded by fans as she left Britney at the O2- though X Factor bosses do not let her meet the public after the live show for fear that she will be attacked
'Everyone was completely gobsmacked at what Kitty was doing. They couldn’t believe their eyes,' said an onlooker according to People.
There is a dark side to Kitty's newfound fame however, which perhaps accounts for why Derek is so quick to jump to her defence.
He revealed that Kitty has received over 150 death threats since she started the show.
'I can’t believe how many sick people there are out there,' he said.
Unexpected clinch: Kitty, who has held back with her fiancée, enjoyed a passionate clinch with ex X Factor contestant Sami Brookes last weekend
'She is the only X Factor contestant who isn’t allowed to meet fans outside after each show because the bosses are so worried someone will attack her.'
'Kitty has had around 150 death threats saying really vile things.'
'When she isn’t on stage she is in casual sweatpants with hair scraped back and no make-up. The editing on X Factor makes her look spoilt but she is the least spoilt girl I ever dated,' he added.
